Redwood trees can live for 2000 years. Some of the young growth trees we see are already 200 years old. Imagine how much life they will see. It reminds me of the book The Fir Tree, about a tree that reflects on the world around her. Generation of generation of families will play in the streams at their roots, leaning against their wise trunk to catch a breath of fresh air. They are some of the tallest trees in the world, gracing the California coastline with their rich, deep beauty. When we planned for this session, a Redwood grove was the perfect fit. My client's heart belongs to Big Basin, where some of the biggest redwoods live. She feels close to them, and we celebrated her bringing life into this world in a grove in Marin County.
